Description as a Host
I am friendly and chatty and have welcomed international guests to my home for almost 20 years. I have 2 adult children R (29) and A(27) who now live independently. They both share my love for overseas travel and learning about other cultures. You may meet them on their weekend visits. I am a retired social worker and have worked with children all my life in various social work roles. I have a current DBS. I love cooking,trips to the cinema and theatre, swimming and walking our friendly Spanish rescue dogs. You are welcome to get involved too! We also enjoy trips to neighbouring towns and cities and places of interest and you would be welcome to join me! I look forward to meeting you and making your trip enjoyable and memorable!

These face to face lessons may be done in the morning or afternoon, suggested times are 9.30 am to 10.30 am , half hour break, and again 11.00 am to 12.00 am from Monday to Friday.

First day activity together
Included in the price the Host will do something with the Student Guest. There are no restrictions not to have the Host do the same things week after week. Typical activities are: day out with the family, visit to town, shopping, cooking..
Every afternoon and weekend day we will go visiting and doing activities together. The cost will be shared among our Student Guests. If you work part-time, we can arrange according to your work schedule, if you are going to have classes with us, we will have these in the morning, and do these activities in the afternoons.

Full board accommodation, with packed lunch (like sandwich, fruit and water) is included. Here are listed the types of diet we eat at home and that we would provide without extra charges. In general we eat traditional but also international food, breakfast is light and dinner our main meal. Your packed lunch will include one or two sandwiches, please let me know over the phone what you would like. We made pizza at home. Eat out sometimes. Prepare food together at times.

Very kind person and always willing to talk. With Fiona I talked all the time when I saw each other about all the things that could come to mind and on weekends she always manages to organize fascinating trips allowing the kids to see places that are not easily reachable by bus independently. It is also possible to meet guys of other nationalities because it has multiple bedrooms

Fiona was a great and welcoming host mum. She spoiled me every day with a dessert and she always personally took care of preparing my packed lunch for work. The room she reserved me was clean and comfortable and she didn't fail to make sure I found small snacks there throughout my stay. Our evenings of conversation were pleasant and enlivened by the presence of her beautiful dogs. I absolutely recommend contacting her for the experience

Fiona is a very nice woman. She is very comfortable and available. Every time I needed some help she was ready to help me, every time!! The first day she took me to see my workplace, the Nottingham Castle and the city. I talked a lot with her and I think I improved my english skills. I recommend a lot to stay at Fiona's!!!!
